Behold, a pink Christmas tree! I saw one as I was shopping in a department store
a few days ago and I immediately thought of my daughter. One day she saw a pink
artificial Christmas tree in a TV commercial and got excited about how pretty it was, and how
lovely it would look in her bedroom. Surprise? :) Pink is a really hot
color for teens right now and although my little girl has got a few years
to go before becoming a teenager (she's only 8), I am glad to see the
spark of interest in the favorite hue for girls.

Nothing says "girly" like a pink Christmas tree. This is probably why my
daughter is so interested in getting one for her room.
I am very eager to get her this girly object mostly because she didn't
like the color just a year ago. She announced that she hated pink after I
bought her a few outfits in that shade last Christmas, and we ended up
returning to the store for an exchange.
She wanted to start picking out her own clothes and she chose bright
oranges and black. So, it came as a shock to me that a year later she
would be swooning over a pink Christmas tree.
I have a feeling that this was just part of her rebellious nature. She
simply didn't want mom to choose for her all the time. I suspect pink has
always been her favorite color, but the little brat (that's what my mom
used to call me too) denounced it just to show that
she could be independent even at that young age. Wonder where she got that
from ;)
I remember turning against pink myself when I was a teenager. I wanted to
wear black or black after the age of 13. Is it a surprise that my own
daughter is embracing the same color at a much younger age? Well, we both
love Halloween so that's probably it, he he!
Anyway, I'm in my early 20's now and I love both pink and black, and it
really depends on my mood and the occasion. Although I wouldn't have a
pink artificial Christmas tree in my living room (how about a white tree
with black Christmas decorations? hmm...), I would be happy to get one for my
daughter for her room. Her interest in the pink Christmas tree has me
planning a surprise for her
Pink
is a color that is associated with youth, innocents and of course, little
girls. I am anxious to surprise her with a pink Christmas tree of her own
this year. I think that she is really going to love it. There are a few
things that I have to consider before making a purchase. The first thing
is the size.
The pink Christmas tree is going to be completely my daughter's. It will
be displayed in her room. There are several choices when it comes to size.
I really love the idea of a huge, pink Christmas tree in her bedroom but
it may be just too overwhelming for a little kid, and if I'm not careful
it might actually backfire. She might say she hates pink again, and that
would be the nightmare before Christmas!
LOL. So I think a pink table top Christmas tree
would be a perfect choice. It will also suit the space better.
The second thing is the timing. Obviously, this is going to be an early
Christmas present for her since it would be nice to have the tree set up
and completely decorated like at least a month before Christmas. That way
she will have plenty of time to admire and enjoy her very own pink
Christmas tree, and I will have a blast taking pictures of it with my new
Cannon Powershot digital
camera. So I would need to start looking for a pink Christmas tree really soon. I
need to shop around a little in order to get a great price. I'll also
look
online to see what's available.
Another thing is decorating it. I know that she is interested in a pink
Christmas tree but I'm not sure if she really would appreciate if I
decorated it for her. Since this is going to be her tree, I will leave it
up to her to decorate it the way she likes it. We will go out looking for
Christmas ornaments together, maybe even sit in front of the computer
together shopping for ornaments online for her pink Christmas tree, but
she will get to pick whatever decorations she wants.
I know she likes Santa and snowmen a lot, and she also loves angels.
Sometimes she even thinks she is an one! Well, she may look like an angel
but doesn't always act like one, ha ha! Anyway, I think we need to choose
darker color ornaments so that they will be visible on a pink Christmas
tree. Some green may be nice but who knows, it may wind up being a
pink Christmas tree with a few black Christmas decorations when she's done with it. :)
With the
Christmas yard decoration scheme and pink Christmas tree, I'm sure
this is gonna be the best
Christmas vacation for my little girl and me. And we both
wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday season too.
