Great Halloween costumes are always sought after around the end of summer
as kids and their parents start thinking about dressing up for that one
creepy night of the year when ghosts, goblins, and witches roam the earth.
Have you got yours yet? I mean your Halloween costume! :)
My daughter and I love Halloween and we have fun wearing great Halloween
costumes every year. As autumn draws near, we're ready for the spooks to
come out and the spirits to walk the earth.
By the way, what's that whole
walking the earth thing all about? I mean, they're non-physical entities,
right? So why aren't they floating?
Therefore, I am officially changing it
to spirits floating the earth. Get the memo everyone, ha ha! But I
digress.
Anyway, that one eerie, bone chilling night of the year can certainly be
a blast. I am constantly searching for great Halloween costumes. My
eight year old girl simply cherishes October 31st. Wonder where she
gets that from! :) She just loves the idea of becoming someone else for the
night. When the leaves start to fall and the air turns cool and crisp, she
knows her favorite holiday is approaching and she waits in eager anticipation.
Last year she went as a witch. Not just any witch, but a teeth chattering,
horrifying witch with bloody fangs and sinister make-up. Yeah, she prefers
to go all out with that stuff, and I had to searched through a number of
great Halloween costumes before I finally found that one.
So, what are you going to dress up as this year? Maybe a terrifying
werewolf, or a nice pale ghost. Oh wait, I know what! You can go as Emily
Rose when she's all contorted like in that Exorcism movie. Now that's freakin'
freaky! You would definitely scare a lot of children that way, like I did
one Halloween night. Not only the kids, but even some of the adults were
screaming scared while my daughter and I burst out laughing. As you can
see, great Halloween costumes can do a lot of tricks.
But can you believe it, my dad actually scolded me when he found out what
I did! He said I should be ashamed of myself and start acting like an
adult.
Lighten up, dad! After all, it was Halloween and even grown-ups like me (who
can't seem to get rid of the naughty little kid in her) are entitled to be
mischievous and have fun at least one day a year! Yes indeed, there's
nothing as fun and exciting as great Halloween costumes.
One nice thing about Halloween is that there is always something for
everyone. While I prefer the creepy and spooky stuff, not everyone else
does. If you rather not be Dracula or Frankenstein, or some other scary
monsters, then you don't have to. There are great Halloween costumes of
heroes like Spiderman and Superman, or some funny cartoon characters like
the Flintstones. Heck, you
can even be an angel, a princess or a cute animal like a cat or monkey.
One of my friend's kids wore a Tinker Bell Halloween costume while her
baby brother dressed as a pirate. If you like, you can also dress up
as your favorite celebrity or political figure. The ever popular
Lord of the Rings
costume is another cool idea. The choice is yours, but
the key is getting your hands on those great Halloween costumes before they're all sold out.
This year I'm thinking of buying some sexy Halloween costumes
for myself. Haven't really decided on what exactly but I want
something a little naughty and sexy for a change. Any ideas? Since I like going
barefoot, probably I should dress as wild a jungle woman. That'd be cool!
I'll tell you next year what sexy Halloween costumes I wore :)
One thing though, I have pretty much given up shopping the local Halloween
superstores. I'm sure you have seen them. They typically pop up in
September. Not that they don't carry any great Halloween costumes, but
they always sell everything out so fast. That's a major bummer when you
have something special in mind. Not to mention that their Halloween costumes tend to be over-priced.
Today I prefer the World-Wide-Web of great Halloween costumes. Now, when I
say great, I mean fantastic. Anything you can imagine regarding costumes,
masks, make-up, and accessories can be found in cyberspace at bargain
prices. Just get online and you'll see exactly what I mean. Like I said
before, it's very important to shop early on.
Get that perfect scary Halloween costume before it disappears. Otherwise, you'll
have to settle for that crooked nose and ugly teeth you see in the mirror
every morning. Sorry, just teasing, he he he! You should know me by now.
